DESTINATION IMPORT GUIDE / Canada
Canada
Canada’s Automated Import Reference System (AIRS) is the transaction-specific reference. Requirements depend on species susceptibility, origin, end use and province; an aquatic-animal health permit may be required.
BEFORE ORDERING
Three checks before a quotation.
- 01Run the species, origin and end use through AIRS.
- 02Confirm whether the taxon is a susceptible species under aquatic-animal health rules.
- 03Secure any permit and exact zoosanitary certificate before shipping.
DOCUMENT PACK
Prepare these records.
- Importer identity, registration and broker details required by the destination
- Scientific-name species list, quantities, source and intended use
- Import permit or written admissibility confirmation where required
- Official aquatic-animal health certificate with the destination declarations
- Commercial invoice, packing list, air waybill and customs classification
- CITES or national wildlife permits when the exact taxon is regulated
