EU entry conditions depend on the species, health status, purpose and harmonised animal-health rules. TRACES NT, an official certificate and entry through an eligible Border Control Post may apply.
BEFORE ORDERING
Three checks before a quotation.
- 01Confirm whether the consignment falls under harmonised aquatic-animal rules.
- 02Have the importer consult the competent authority in the Member State of destination.
- 03Arrange TRACES pre-notification, certificate model and eligible Border Control Post when required.
DOCUMENT PACK
Prepare these records.
- Importer identity, registration and broker details required by the destination
- Scientific-name species list, quantities, source and intended use
- Import permit or written admissibility confirmation where required
- Official aquatic-animal health certificate with the destination declarations
- Commercial invoice, packing list, air waybill and customs classification
- CITES or national wildlife permits when the exact taxon is regulated
ARRIVAL & CLEARANCE
Entry is a separate decision.
Border checks and national invasive-species, welfare, CITES, tax and customs rules remain separate and may all apply.
