Importers should confirm the exact live-fish pathway with the Fish Health Inspectorate. Health certification, IPAFFS pre-notification and an approved Border Control Post may be required.
BEFORE ORDERING
Three checks before a quotation.
- 01Confirm the species, origin and purpose with the Fish Health Inspectorate.
- 02Check whether an ILFA licence or other non-native-species control applies.
- 03Arrange certification, IPAFFS notification and the correct entry point.
DOCUMENT PACK
Prepare these records.
- Importer identity, registration and broker details required by the destination
- Scientific-name species list, quantities, source and intended use
- Import permit or written admissibility confirmation where required
- Official aquatic-animal health certificate with the destination declarations
- Commercial invoice, packing list, air waybill and customs classification
- CITES or national wildlife permits when the exact taxon is regulated
