DESTINATION IMPORT GUIDE / Hong Kong
Hong Kong
The importer must check animal-health, endangered-species and cargo requirements for the exact species. CITES-listed specimens require the applicable Hong Kong licence.
BEFORE ORDERING
Three checks before a quotation.
- 01Confirm the taxon with AFCD and check current disease controls.
- 02Obtain endangered-species licences before shipment where applicable.
- 03Prepare cargo manifest, import declarations and customs documentation separately.
DOCUMENT PACK
Prepare these records.
- Importer identity, registration and broker details required by the destination
- Scientific-name species list, quantities, source and intended use
- Import permit or written admissibility confirmation where required
- Official aquatic-animal health certificate with the destination declarations
- Commercial invoice, packing list, air waybill and customs classification
- CITES or national wildlife permits when the exact taxon is regulated
ARRIVAL & CLEARANCE
Entry is a separate decision.
AFCD, customs and cargo requirements are separate. A non-CITES species may still require health or cargo documentation.
