Commercial ornamental-fish importers require the relevant AVS licence, approved premises and consignment clearance. Personal allowances are different and should not be assumed for cargo.
BEFORE ORDERING
Three checks before a quotation.
- 01Confirm the importer’s ornamental-fish licence and approved premises.
- 02Check species restrictions and CITES controls.
- 03Apply for cargo clearance and prepare the health and commercial document pack.
DOCUMENT PACK
Prepare these records.
- Importer identity, registration and broker details required by the destination
- Scientific-name species list, quantities, source and intended use
- Import permit or written admissibility confirmation where required
- Official aquatic-animal health certificate with the destination declarations
- Commercial invoice, packing list, air waybill and customs classification
- CITES or national wildlife permits when the exact taxon is regulated
ARRIVAL & CLEARANCE
Entry is a separate decision.
The importer must make the consignment available for AVS inspection when directed and complete customs cargo clearance.
