DESTINATION IMPORT GUIDE / South Korea

The importer must confirm whether the species is subject to aquatic-animal disease quarantine. Import notification, an official health certificate and NFQS inspection may apply.

BEFORE ORDERING

Three checks before a quotation.

  1. 01Confirm the exact taxon and disease-control category with NFQS.
  2. 02Agree the certificate language, declarations and testing before shipment.
  3. 03Arrange the eligible port and quarantine inspection schedule.

DOCUMENT PACK

Prepare these records.

  • Importer identity, registration and broker details required by the destination
  • Scientific-name species list, quantities, source and intended use
  • Import permit or written admissibility confirmation where required
  • Official aquatic-animal health certificate with the destination declarations
  • Commercial invoice, packing list, air waybill and customs classification
  • CITES or national wildlife permits when the exact taxon is regulated

ARRIVAL & CLEARANCE

Entry is a separate decision.

The shipment may be held for document, identity and quarantine inspection. Customs and CITES controls remain separate.
