Importing live aquatic animals requires advance confirmation with the Department of Fisheries. Import permission, aquatic-animal health documentation, quarantine inspection and species controls may apply.
BEFORE ORDERING
Three checks before a quotation.
- 01Confirm importer eligibility and species admissibility with the Department of Fisheries.
- 02Obtain import permission before dispatch.
- 03Agree official health documentation and the designated inspection point.
DOCUMENT PACK
Prepare these records.
- Importer identity, registration and broker details required by the destination
- Scientific-name species list, quantities, source and intended use
- Import permit or written admissibility confirmation where required
- Official aquatic-animal health certificate with the destination declarations
- Commercial invoice, packing list, air waybill and customs classification
- CITES or national wildlife permits when the exact taxon is regulated
ARRIVAL & CLEARANCE
Entry is a separate decision.
Declare the animals and present them for fisheries quarantine inspection. Wildlife and CITES permissions are additional where applicable.
